The AIDE Nomad Forum aims to bring together all stakeholders and discuss all relevant issues to the use and integration of Nomadic devices within the vehicle environment. A Nomad Forum workshop was carried out in Brussels, 25th of November 2005 under sponsorship of ERTICO and AIDE. The meeting successfully achieved its objectives; two out of the three Nomad Forum working groups were active (technology and business). The latter is working on a top-down approach (business cases) and the former vice versa (defining ND use cases) in order to meet each other and promote safe deployment of ND in the vehicles. The participants came from ERTICO, ICCS, OPEL, Volvo, Ford, BMW, NAVTEQ, Teleatlas, Navigon, Vodafone, Panasonic, ACEA, Alpine, Renault, PSA and VW. The commission was represented by Mr. Hofs. The next Nomadic Device Forum workshop is scheduled for the 23rd of February 2006 at ERTICO. It is very important for AIDE to have a strong participation in nomad forum workshops.
